Have you heard of Blanche?

Blanche is my favorite Detroit band! They are one of the best Alt Country bands around. Its been awhile since their last album Little Amber Bottles and I can't wait till they decide to record again. I have had the pleasure of meeting Dan and Tracee(the married couple that lead the group) and they are sweet as apple pie. I think Wikapedia explains them best:

Blanche is an American alternative country band from Detroit, Michigan. Their music is based inAmericana, early country and folk blues with a touch of haunting Southern Gothic stylings andgarage rock mentality. Blanche is known for wearing vintage fashion of the early- to mid-20th Century.

The band consists of:

• Dan John Miller (guitar, lead vocals)
• Tracee Mae Miller (bass, vocals, drums on "Someday")
• Dave Feeny (pedal steel guitar, horn instruments, some vocals)
• Lisa "Jaybird" Jannon (drums, guitar on "Someday")
• "Little" Jack Lawrence (banjo, autoharp, some vocals).
